As the first Community Development Financial Institution formed in California, Community Bank of the Bay is dedicated to the local community. We are locally owned and operated, and our focus is on the local community, providing financing to small businesses and non-profits so they in turn can create jobs.

To further this community responsibility, we work closely with the Oakland Business Development Corporation, California Capital Access Program, and the Alameda County SBDC to help fund loans to businesses that might not otherwise qualify for traditional credit.

Community Bank of the Bay is especially proud of our management and staff who dedicate many hours to worthwhile service organizations throughout the year, helping local business groups, neighborhood improvement councils, youth and family organizations, and local police departments.

We believe you can't truly serve a community unless you're part of it. Our commitment to the needs of our communities is an important part of our philosophy. Reaching out to the community and providing facilities for their use is one way Community Bank of the Bay gives back. Many non-profits and community organizations use our training room and conference room to develop people and ideas.
